Sometimes we need to stop and smell the roses, or like Omid Asadi, stop and look at leaves. One day in the middle of autumn, he realized how fascinating it was to watch the leaves change colors and falling, but everybody else would just walk by and step on them without giving a second thought. Asadi decided to make people notice these fragile pieces of nature.
By turning the natural objects into pieces of art, he got everybody to stop just seeing them as leaves, and to appreciate the colors, shapes, and textures when their context was changed. By gently carving out pieces of the leaves.
